Reviving Analog Learning:
The impact of a card game amidst the digital trend

We worked together with BreakoutRN to create a dynamic learning card game meticulously designed for nurses aiming to enhance their skills in community-level care scenarios. Through immersive gameplay, participants follow the journey of a camp nurse as they navigate through various challenges inherent to outdoor recreational settings. The game encompasses triage procedures, nursing interventions for acute injuries, public health safety planning for campers, and the development of educational strategies tailored for counselors assisting campers with type 1 diabetes.

Hands on learning: Crafted for small groups, typically comprising 4 to 6 participants, "Community Health - Active Learning Deck" fosters collaboration, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Each player assumes the role of the camp nurse, tasked with addressing a series of scenarios reflective of real-life situations encountered in camp settings.
