What Is Atopic Dermatitis?
Atopic dermatitis, often used interchangeably with the term eczema, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition marked by dry, itchy, and inflamed patches of skin. It is one of the most common skin conditions worldwide, frequently beginning in early childhood, though it can persist into adulthood or, less commonly, first appear later in life.1
