What Is Stasis Dermatitis?
Stasis dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that develops on the lower legs as a direct consequence of poor venous circulation. It most commonly affects older adults and is closely tied to an underlying condition called chronic venous insufficiency, in which veins in the legs struggle to efficiently return blood back up toward the heart.1
