How do you visualize abdominal cancer treatment?
We partnered up with surgeon scientists to create a journal cover for their article on pressurized intraperitoneal aerosolized chemotherapy (PIPAC), published in eBioMedicine. At the base, PIPAC is a treatment for abdominal cancer. It involves using a fine mist of chemotherapy drugs delivered directly into the abdominal cavity, targeting tumors in that region more effectively.
The key to creating an effective scientific journal cover is in capturing the core message of the research. In this case, the researchers were investigating the use of nanoparticle albumin in Phase 1 clinical trials of patients with peritoneal cancer.
