Overview
AMT Medical asked us to create a medical animation to help explain the ELANA® Heart Clip device and its potential use in minimally invasive coronary bypass procedures. The animation was developed to support communication around the ELANA TECAB concept, showing how the device could enable sutureless vessel connection in a beating-heart setting. Our role was to visually demonstrate the procedure mechanics, device placement, and anatomical context in a way that could be clearly understood by surgeons, cardiologists, and medical specialists.

What Is the ELANA TECAB Procedure?
The ELANA (Excimer Laser Assisted Non-Occlusive Anastomosis) technique is a surgical approach that allows a bypass graft to be connected to a coronary artery without traditional suturing. Using the ELANA Heart Clip and laser technology, the anastomosis can be created without interrupting blood flow. AMT Medical is developing this technique for totally endoscopic coronary artery bypass (TECAB) and minimally invasive applications, with the aim of making bypass surgery less invasive and more reproducible.
