Hand Foot Syndrome
Overview
We collaborated with our agency partner to create an animation for Nordic Pharma raising awareness on Hand-Foot Syndrome (HFS) as part of a larger health campaign. The animation visually explains HFS symptoms and experience in a way that is clear and empathetic for patients and caregivers. The campaign reached over 600,000 people, generated high engagement on social platforms, and helped spark meaningful conversations about HFS.
What Is Hand-Foot Syndrome?
Hand-Foot Syndrome, also known as palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia, is a skin reaction that can occur with certain cancer treatments. It typically causes redness, swelling, and tenderness on the palms and soles and can affect daily activities like walking or using hands. Because symptoms may appear days after treatment starts, early awareness helps patients and care teams recognise and manage signs more effectively.
